Help be Part of a Private Solution for a Safe Play Place for North Tulsa Children With many parks being closed in North Tulsa, a new team has come together to privately fund a solution to give children of North Tulsa a safe place to go to have fun as a positive alternative.
Kaboom and The Humana Foundation have teamed up to help fund Tulsa YouthWorks and Wesley Chapel to build a giant commercial-grade playground for North Tulsa elementary school children on the church property at 2750 North MLK Jr. Blvd (Cincinnati).
Kaboom has built more than 2500 playgrounds across the U.S. (check them out at Kaboom.org). $85,000 has been raised by Humana and Kaboom, and now it is YouthWorks’ turn to raise its 10% matching portion by raising $8500 by September 30.
Donate Your E-Waste To raise funds, YouthWorks is partnering with Cornerstone Assistance Network and Electronic Synergy Foundation to run an E-waste (Electronics Waste) Collection Campaign. Donors (both corporate and individual) are asked to donate their used electronics … phones, computers, printers, video game sets, etc.
Drop off your used electronics (dead or alive) at Cornerstone Assistance Network at 1073 North Owasso Avenue just 1 Block West of North Peoria on Latimer. Please either tape a note, or make sure the attendant knows this donation is for the Kaboom playground. Donate On-Line You can also donate financially online at www.tulsacan.org.
