How is e-waste harmful to the environment?

When e-waste is exposed to heat, various toxic chemicals are released into the air, causing damage to the atmosphere. These toxic compounds can then infiltrate groundwater, harming both land and marine species. Electronic waste can also contribute to air pollution.

Why is it important to reduce e-waste?

It’s important to minimize e-waste. Most electronic equipment, such as cell phones, laptops, flash memory cards, TVs, tablets and batteries, ends up in landfills, thereby polluting air and water. Minimizing electronic waste keeps it safe in the environment.
